The clay-soil problem tile has in Liberty

In a shower, the tile is not the waterproofing — the membrane behind it is. Grout is porous and water passes through it, so a durable tiled shower depends on a continuous waterproof membrane on the walls and a correctly sloped pan that drains properly.
